• Profile data: name, date of birth (used to calculate your age), boat classes, sailing positions, main sailing area, experience level, club, and description.
• User-generated content: Crewsearch posts, Events, Knowledge posts, Forum questions and answers, comments, and likes.
• Messages: private messages exchanged between users.
• Saved items and saved searches: bookmarks and Crewsearch filter presets you save.
• Match alerts: notification preferences for Crewsearch.
• Uploaded files: photos and drawings you attach to Knowledge or other posts.
• Reports and blocks: when you report or block another user.

• Your email address is never shown publicly.
• Your date of birth is never shown publicly — only your calculated age or age group.
• Private messages are only visible to the participants of that conversation.

Your data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with industry-standard security and access controls. We use row-level security so that users can only access data they are authorized to see.

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data via your profile.
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.

Sailing communities include people of many ages, and some users may be young sailors. We take extra care to protect minors: profile details such as date of birth are never shown publicly, private messages are restricted to conversation participants, and users can report or block others at any time.
